REPRESENTATIVE PROJECTS

  • We developed an HCP for the proposed creation of a new city in Ventura County, California.  The planning process required the successful resolution of issues concerning the San Fernando spineflower, a plant whose only known populations occurred on the project site.

  • We represent numerous homebuilders and developers, both local companies and large national companies, in securing necessary permits and approvals for large development projects which involve impacts to wetlands, wildlife and other resources.

  • We represent some of the largest landowners in Hawaii in connection with a wide array of environmental and natural resource issues, including the development of a Safe Harbor Agreement under the Endangered Species Act.

  • We represent several vineyards in natural resources compliance matters involving the fill of wetlands and other “waters of the United States” under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and the fill of “waters of the state” under California law, and the diversion of water for irrigation and frost protection purposes.
